The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem is proud to present:

‎Jerusalem Film Festival 2023‎

JULY 12-13, 2023

‎This year the Jerusalem Cinematheque marked 40 years of its renowned film festival, and the Museum of Tolerance participated in the festivities.‎

‎Eleven films were screened at the 400-seat Museum theater.‎

‎The festival opened with a screening of the acclaimed film "Golda," starring leading Hollywood actress Helen Mirren as Israel's fourth Prime Minister Golda Meir.‎

‎The film deals with the fateful decisions made by the woman who headed Israel's government during the 1973 Yom Kippur War and the crisis that developed among the military leadership when dealing with this historic crisis, while Golda was battling cancer.‎

‎At the end of the premiere of "Golda," a panel was held with the filmmakers, who told critics about the film's complex creative process.‎

‎Hundreds of people packed the theater at the opening event and the various screenings at the museum.
The closing and award ceremony, also held at the museum, was attended by artists and actors from the films screened.‎
