Icons of Tolerance: Launch of the Flagship Series at the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem
The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem presents its flagship series, Icons of Tolerance, a multidisciplinary initiative that places influential figures and culturally resonant works from both the local and international arenas at the heart of public dialogue.
The series was created to illuminate issues that lie at the core of the Museum’s mission: creating space for meaningful dialogue, fostering cross-cultural encounters, and encouraging active listening to the diverse voices that make up Israel’s social fabric.
The voices and works featured in Icons of Tolerance are carefully selected not necessarily for their ability to generate broad consensus, but for their power to provoke thought, grounded in the belief that tolerance is tested precisely when confronted with complexity and challenge. Through thought-provoking and at times controversial perspectives, opportunities emerge for deeper dialogue and new discoveries about culture, art, and the society in which we live. The works presented in the series serve as a social “mirror,” inviting visitors to re-examine their own worldview.

Opening Events: Hadag Nahash | 30 Years of Creativity and Social Engagement
The Icons of Tolerance series will launch with a celebratory weekend from June 25 to 27, 2026, dedicated to Hadag Nahash. Over the past three decades, the band has become part of the soundtrack of Israeli society, combining artistic excellence with deep civic engagement.
The weekend’s events will take place throughout the Museum’s striking architectural spaces, which serve as a vibrant hub for culture, education, and innovation.
