Between Hillel and Shammai

Join us on our new tour, “Between Beit Hillel and the Beit Shammai”, an exciting journey through Jerusalem’s historic alleyways. The tour will explore the culture of controversy, from the distant past to the hottest issues of our time.

Duration: Up to three hours

The tour is conducted in Hebrew only

Cost: 75 NIS per person, 140 NIS per couple

Meeting point: At the main entrance of the museum

Paid parking is available near the museum

Join us for a thought-provoking, walking tour through Jerusalem’s ancient alleyways as we explore the complexities of Jewish and Israeli identity. Along the way, we’ll grapple with questions such as: Is dispute always divisive, or can it spark growth? And most importantly—how can we learn to live with disagreement and manage it in healthier, more constructive ways?

In Jerusalem—where diverse religions, worldviews, and traditions have coexisted for millennia—every question takes on a deeper resonance. As we walk the historic streets named after sages Hillel and Shammai, we’ll discover where ideological rifts created either bridges… or barriers.

Route: Nahalat Shiva, Hillel and Shammai Streets, Hanevi’im and Ethiopia Streets, Mea Shearim, Musrara, and more.
