Collaborating for respectful dialogue in the world of sports: Beitar Jerusalem FC at the Museum of Tolerance.
November 25, 2024
The players of the Beitar Jerusalem Football Club visited the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem. They viewed their "06:29—From Darkness to Light" exhibit which showcased harrowing stories from women victims and first responders from that tragic day. This visit was coordinated to foster a healthy and respectful dialogue in the world of sports and Israeli football clubs.
The club's players visited the Museum after a training session in Jerusalem. They received a detailed tour of the new exhibition, emphasizing the unity that needs to be cultivated in light of the horrors of October 7th and the social cohesion that is especially crucial during times of crisis.
The players watched videos documenting the Hamas attack on the communities near the Gaza border and were exposed to the atrocities and the days of mourning that followed. Finally, the team saw the wall covered with colorful notes from previous Museum visitors, many of which wished for the return of the hostages and an end to the war.
