AIPAC National Board Visits the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem for a Day of Insightful Lectures
March 18, 2025
On Tuesday, March 18, we had the honor of hosting the AIPAC National Board of Directors for a day of thought-provoking discussions on key geopolitical and security issues facing Israel and the region.
This distinguished delegation, led by Board President Bernie Kaminetsky and Chairman Mike Tuchin, included 60 of AIPAC’s top leaders from across the United States, along with CEO Elliot Brandt and COO Arne Christensen.
The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem has long maintained a strong relationship with AIPAC and the broader Jewish community in the United States, serving as a hub for dialogue and education on issues critical to the future of Israel and the Jewish people.
Throughout the day, the delegation engaged in a series of in-depth sessions featuring leading experts in Middle Eastern affairs, Israeli security, and politics.
The first session, “Return of the Muslim Brotherhood: Turkey and Qatar,” featured Dr. Hay Eytan Cohen Yanarocak of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Dr. Moran Zaga, an expert on Gulf states. Adam Harris moderated the discussion, which explored the Muslim Brotherhood's evolving role in regional politics and its implications for Israel.
The second session, “The Future of Gaza,” provided key insights into Israel’s strategic and humanitarian approach to Gaza. Brig. Gen. Elad Goren, Head of the Humanitarian-Civilian Effort in Gaza at COGAT, and Brig. Gen. Benny Gal, Head of the IDF’s Strategic Division, led the discussion, with moderation by Yossi Garr. The session also included remarks from LTC Yotam Shefer, Head of the Foreign Relations Branch in COGAT, who shared perspectives on military and diplomatic efforts in the region.
The final session, “Israeli Politics,” featured leading Israeli political journalists Amit Segal and Tal Shalev. Moderated by Gabi Duec, the discussion provided the delegation with a deeper understanding of Israel’s dynamic political landscape and its impact on U.S.-Israel relations.
By hosting this event, the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem reaffirmed its commitment to fostering meaningful conversations about Israel’s challenges and opportunities. The Museum remains a key partner for AIPAC and the Jewish community in the United States, continuing to serve as a center for education, engagement, and advocacy.
